Deep Foundations

Deep foundations transfer structural loads through to competent soils or rock when shallow foundations are not feasible due to weak, compressible soils near ground surface. Augercast piles, drilled shafts, driven piles, Franki piles (PIFs), micropiles, and Macropiles™, are deep foundation elements.
