Structures

What we work on...

Hayward Baker’s geotechnical construction techniques have been used for a wide variety of existing and planned structures over the course of thousands of projects. No matter what the structure, problem soils can still exist. Our comprehensive catalog of techniques enables us to find a solution for any structure’s geotechnical problems. Combinations of ground improvement techniques offer effective solutions when the subsurface is not suited to one particular technique. Whether the structure in question is a sensitive piece of manufacturing equipment that needs to be stabilized, a wind turbine tower with dynamic loading, a transmission tower on a cliff, a settling bridge pier, a sinkhole, or even the house next door, Hayward Baker possess the tools and experience to produce the results that you need.

Wickiup Dam and Reservoir are in a sensitive area that required special procedures be followed to limit potential impacts to the Deschutes River, the water users, and the surrounding forest. Of special importance was the handling of jet grout waste and the dewatering/unwatering issues. I was very impressed with your professional approach to both of these issues. - Mark Bliss, Geotechnical Engineer
