Sheet Piles
Sheet piling is an earth retention and excavation support technique that retains soil, using steel sheet sections with interlocking edges. A hydraulic ram or vibratory hammer installs the sheetpiles in sequence to design depth along the planned wall excavation perimeter or seawall alignment. The interlocked sheet piles form a wall for permanent or temporary support, with minimized groundwater inflow. Anchors can be included to provide additional lateral support if required. Sheet pile walls have been used for excavation support and for seawalls and bulkheads.
This technique is available in most areas through either Hayward Baker or sister Keller companies. Contact your local Hayward Baker office for more information.
