We are seeking a results-driven Geotechnical Construction Project Manager in the New York Metro area who has the desire to work in a quality company with superior products and a reputation for excellence. In this position, you will be responsible for conceptual design, estimating, contract negotiations, and project management. Qualified candidates must have 3-7 years Heavy Civil Construction or Geotechnical Construction experience with a BS degree in Civil Engineering. MS degree in Geotechnical Engineering preferred. Other desirable experience includes: project management and/or design experience in deep foundations, earth retention, and ground improvement. Positions available in Atlanta, GA and Greensboro, NC Candidate should have the following: Minimum 5 years experience in mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, and electrical repairs involving complex heavy construction equipment and tools. Ability to diagnose and successfully repair the equipment by ordering parts over the phone or computer; should feel comfortable with computers and electronics to make adjustments and diagnose problems. Work outdoors and spend much of their time on construction jobsites. Position includes a well equipped heavy duty service truck. Weekly travel throughout the Southeast to construction jobsites to repair disabled equipment. Read and interpret service manuals; reading ability and communication skills are both important, including communication with senior mechanics who provide remote assistance.
