Bio:
Mr. Avery joined Hayward Baker in 2005. His business development management covers California, Arizona and Nevada.  He brings to this role many years of experience in the tunneling and geotechnical fields.  Mr. Avery has been involved in many aspects of rock and soil anchoring, jet grouting, micropile installation and rock and soil grouting.  He has authored many papers on tunneling, anchoring and grouting, and has presented and taught aspects of grouting at seminars and short courses. Mr. Avery holds both a BS and MS degree in Geological Engineering from the University of Arizona, and is a registered Civil Engineer.

Mr. Taylor joined Hayward Baker in 1988. As Area Manager of the Los Angeles office, his responsibilities include the estimating, design, and management of various Ground Modification operations in southern California, southern Nevada, and Hawaii. His background with Hayward Baker includes project management of Chemical Grouting, Compaction Grouting, Cement Grouting, Jet Grouting, Soil Fracture Grouting, Vibro Replacement, Micropiles, Tiebacks and Rock Anchors, Deep Soil Mixing, and Waterproofing. Mr. Taylor holds both a BS degree in Engineering Geology and a MS degree in Sedimentary Geology from California State University.

Mr. Harris joined Hayward Baker in 1998 with the acquisition of Denver Grouting and had been with Denver Grouting since 1984. Mr. Harris has 21 years of field supervision experience, has served Hayward Baker as a project manager and is presently the Branch Manager of the Denver office. Mr. Harris' area of specialization is compaction grouting, mud jacking, residential foundation remediation including push piers, residential micropiles, and specialty slab-jacking.

Bio:
Following seven years with a national geotechnical consulting firm, Jim has worked for Hayward Baker since 1984 and has designed and managed projects involving most ground improvement technologies. His current responsibilities include directing marketing and business development activities for Hayward Baker Inc., as well as technical oversight of projects in the Southeast Region.

Jim has authored many publications, as well as being Associate Editor for ASCE Geotechnical Special Publication No. 69, Ground Improvement, Ground Reinforcement and Ground Treatment. He is active in the Geo-Institute of the American Society of Civil Engineers where he is the past Chairman of the National Soil Improvement Committee and currently serves as a member of the Technical Coordination Council overseeing the activities of the Soil Improvement Committee, the Grouting Committee and the Deep Soil Mixing Task Force.
