ASDSO has selected The US Bureau of Reclamation and Hayward Baker Inc. to receive the 2004 National Rehabilitation Project of the Year Award for the Wickiup Dam Project, near Bend , Oregon .
Wickiup Dam was recently modified for seismic dam safety deficiencies through the use of jet grouting.This job was one of the largest jet grouting jobs of its kind, to date, and required some new and innovative approaches to the technical analyses during design and material usage at the site.
The use of Jet Grouting at this site was an innovative approach to solving the liquefaction and dynamic deformation concerns at the dam. The jet grouting alternative also provided very significant environmental, economic, technical, and social benefits to the water users, local population, and the area surrounding the dam.
