We are seeking Construction Management and Engineering Professionals to join our project management team in Chino Hills, CA.
We are currently seeking Field Engineers, Project Engineers, and Project Managers to join our project management team in Chino Hills, CA, in order to support our earth retention (shoring) and small to large diameter drilled foundation projects in the Los Angeles, Orange County, and the Inland Empire regions of Southern California.
In this position, you will be primarily assigned to various Hayward Baker construction job sites around the Southern California area to provide our Project Engineers and Project Managers hands-on assistance with completing their day-to-day project, QA/QC, and other technical documentation requirements. This onsite experience will allow you the opportunity to learn about the varied and numerous techniques implemented to productively install earth retention (cantilevered, tie-back, and secant/tangent pile shoring) systems, micropiles, auger-cast piles, large
and small diameter drilled piles, secant and tangent pile systems, large diameter access shaft installations for tunneling, and other foundation installation applications.
Qualified candidates are encouraged to have a BS degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or Construction Management. Must be self-motivated, reliable, and possess excellent interpersonal & customer relations skills. Outstanding computer (MS Office), written composition, and verbal communication skills are necessary for success in this position.
In this position, you will assist our Project Management/Field Production Team with day to day responsibilities to support project cycle and procurement through completion. This will provide you with the opportunity to combine strong engineering/project management expertise with hands-on construction, while still expanding your technical knowledge. Day-to-day duties include assisting Project Managers, responsibility for QA/QC requirements, compiling information and documentation of project contractual requirements, data acquisition, site visits, pre/post bid assistance, and ongoing project management assistance and written correspondence with customers.
Qualified candidates should have 2-4 years of relevant hands-on construction management or engineering experience. A BS in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or Construction Management is recommended. Must be self-motivated, reliable, and possess excellent interpersonal and customer relations skills. Exemplary computer (MS Office), written composition, and verbal communication skills are necessary for success in this position.
In this position, you will be responsible for the day-to-day new work acquisition and ongoing management of earth retention (shoring) and drilled foundation projects, including: estimating and profitably managing drilled shaft, large diameter drilled pile installation, large diameter access shafts, augercast piles, contaminated soil remediation, earth retention (shoring), and hourly drill crew rental projects. Daily duties will also include occasional job site visits, extensive, accurate bid preparation, subcontract negotiations, creation and management of change order requests and claims, monitoring and managing project schedules, cost control and QA/QC requirements, project invoicing, and assistance with securing payment, with an emphasis on building long-term, beneficial Contractor/Owner relationships.
Qualified candidates should have 5-10 years of Heavy Civil/Structural Foundation or Geotechnical Construction experience, with a BS degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management recommended. Must be self-motivated, reliable, and possess excellent interpersonal and customer relations skills. Outstanding computer (MS Office), written composition, and verbal communication skills are necessary for success in this position.
